Cseri Residence

Redmond, Washington

1997-1998

A comprehensive remodel on an exclusive 5 acre parcel, it was originally planned as a few minor additions.  The project’s size and scope grew, and eventually converted the preexisting structure into an entirely new home.

Substantial use of stone and cedar were introduced, to create a stair tower that connects the two levels of the home, both of which open into well-landscaped gardens.

The interior walls were completely stripped and opened to create larger spaces, filled with natural light from large windows framing forest views.  A great room concept with skylights was used for the social spaces.
